Please mark your calendars and get ready for another great tournament! We will have cash prizes, t-shirts and trophies. We had such an exciting day and a GREAT 1st annual Rim Wreckers 3 on 3 Tournament. I think all who played and were involved today had a great time. Thank you to all who participated. Especially thank you to all our volunteers who helped work the tournament today. Thanks again to our Sponsors, First National Bank, Howard Bentley, and You Name It, who so graciously donated our prize money. Here is a recap of the Winners:

PLEASE have all teams at the school 30 minutes prior to your first game to complete your registration paperwork and get your t-shirts. See you all Saturday!

Winner receives a Cash prize (half the total entry fees)
TSSAA and NCAA Eligible Athletes are not eligible for the Cash Prize
They will receive a t-shirt should they win.

· $5 entry fee
· Enter as many times as you like. $5 entry fee each time.
· Girls shoot with a girl’s ball.
· Boys shoot with a boy’s ball.

1st Round:
Shooter has 30 seconds to shoot and hit as many 3s as possible from anywhere behind the 3 point arc. A court official will count the baskets made. There will be 2 people to rebound, 1 passer and 1 person to retrieve the long balls.

The shooters with the top 4 scores from the 1st round will advance to the 2nd round.

2nd Round:
Shooter has 1 minute to shoot and hit as many 3s as possible from anywhere behind the 3 point arc. A court official will count the baskets made. There will be 2 people to rebound, 1 passer and 1 person to retrieve the long balls. The shooter that hits the most baskets in the 2nd round will be declared the winner. The scores from round one and two will not be totaled. Grand Prize Winner is declared on baskets made only in Round 2.

Cash Prize?

After many, many hours and many phone calls, we have been informed and confirmed that any TSSAA or NCAA eligible athlete cannot play for a cash prize. Athletes awarded a cash prize are considered professional athletes therefore, no longer amateurs. If they are awarded money, they become ineligible for a period of 12 or more months. We do not want that to happen to any athletes playing in our tournament. Therefore, we have given them the option to play for fun and win a trophy. The teams signed up for the tournament elected to do just that. Thank you! We think they will have a great time. We are sorry for our lack of information up until now. Thank you for your support.

The other division will still play for the $1000 1st place cash prize.

The brackets are in the process of being drawn up. We should have the final brackets tomorrow. We will let you know how we are going to post them.

LAST CHANCE!

We had our captains meeting tonight and had a great turnout. We are making a few changes to the tournament:

• We are combining the age groups and having 2 divisions instead of 4.
• We are now giving away $1000 cash to the 1st place team in each of the two divisions.

WE ARE EXTENDING THE DEADLINE UNTIL WEDNESDAY NIGHT, MARCH 19, (6:00 PM) TO TURN IN ANY APPLICATIONS AND ENTRY FEES TO BE IN THE TOURNAMENT! YOU CAN STILL FAX THEM TO: 931-433-7311. PLEASE CONTACT US ABOUT PAYING YOUR ENTRY FEE IF YOU FAX YOUR APPLICATION.

We will not accept any game day applications. Brackets will be drawn up tomorrow night. Please call 931-339-1980 with any questions. You can still download the applications and rules and regulations online. The link is on the sidebar.

Directions To Riverside Christian Academy

In Fayetteville:
Riverside is at the intersection of Highway 231 and 110. It is across the street from Rachel's Restaurant and behind Roy and Roger's.

From Huntsville:
Go North on Highway 231 towards Fayetteville. Once you pass the state line, go to the 3rd red light and turn right. This is the school drive. Riverside is at the intersection of Highway 110 and 231.

From Nashville:
Travel south on I-65 to Exit 14. Turn left off exit ramp onto Hwy 64. Travel approximately 17 miles. Turn right onto Wilson Parkway (TN-15 Bypass). Go to the first red light (approx 2 miles) and turn right. At the 5th red light, turn left. This is the school drive.

DEADLINE TOMORROW!

Ok guys and gals...the DEADLINE IS TOMORROW, TUESDAY, MARCH 18. We have had a ton of verbal commitments but very few applications turned in. This is bad for us, but good for you. That means $500 cash could be yours!!! PLEASE get your paperwork in. You can fax it to 931-433-7311.
The captain's meeting is tomorrow night at Riverside Christian Academy in Fayetteville, TN at 6:30 pm. If you have a team, you must have a team member present. If you fax your application in, you must bring your entry fee to the Tuesday night meeting. We will NOT be accepting any teams after tomorrow night's meeting.

DEADLINE

Ok people... I have had a ton of commitments for teams but not a lot of paperwork. It is really too late to mail anything "snail mail" style but you can now fax your paperwork and bring your entry fee to the Captain's Meeting. FAX NUMBER IS 931-433-7311. You can still drop your paperwork off at Riverside but please remember they are on Spring Break next week and there may or may not be anyone there on Monday. Please get your paperwork in quickly. We need to get the t-shirt order ready and the brackets drawn up.

MANDATORY CAPTAINS MEETING MARCH 18 AT 6:30PM. If you have a team, you must have someone present at this meeting. No exceptions!

Also, I have had a couple of calls about the downloads. You must have Adobe installed on your computer to download the application and rules and regulations. You can download it for free.

Application and Entry Fee Drop Off

There have been some questions about the applications and entry fees and where to drop them off or mail them in. Hopefully this post will clear up the questions.

**You can drop your applications and entry fees off at Riverside Christian Academy in Fayetteville, TN. Please let them know in the office when you drop it off that it is for the Rim Wreckers 3 on 3 Tournament. Someone will be stopping by each day to collect them.

3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

This site is for all the information about the 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament to be held in Fayetteville, Tennessee. The tournament will be March 21 and 22, 2008 at Riverside Christian Academy gym. This will be a fun tournament with a BIG cash prize. The first place team in each division will win $500.00 CASH! We will also have a 3 point shoot contest on March 22 at Noon. Anyone can enter. This will also have a cash prize. We will be posting the rules and regulations and application forms in the next week to this site. Please keep checking for updates and information. We will also post the brackets to the site before the tournament starts.
